About the Gala
The History and Mission of the High Hopes Gala
Joslin Diabetes Center's High Hopes Gala was established in 1999 to promote awareness and raise funds for vital diabetes clinical care programs and groundbreaking research initiatives at Joslin Diabetes Center. Since its inception, the Gala has not only served as a major diabetes education event, but also as a critical fundraiser for Joslin's mission and programs.
The High Hopes Gala celebrates and honors caregivers and patients, researchers and donors who all help position Joslin as the best investment in the fight against diabetes. This fabulous black-tie event benefits Joslin Diabetes Center's High Hopes Fund, which supports the Center's greatest needs in research, education and clinical care.
The High Hopes Fund makes it possible for Joslin to work through the barriers of insurance reimbursements, government funding setbacks and the high costs of treating patients with diabetes to reach new heights in progressive care and medical discovery.
Ultimately, the High Hopes Fund ensures the essential parts of our mission remain adequately funded while providing much-needed hope for a world without diabetes and its complications.
Add this signature Joslin event to your 2012 calendar and enjoy a lively cocktail reception, exciting silent and live auctions, performances by renowned musical artists and much more!
