Geoffrey Rehnert

Geoffrey Rehnert is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Audax Group, a leading middle market private equity firm founded in 1999.  Audax manages in excess of $ 5.0 billion in equity and debt capital.  Under Geoff’s leadership, the firm has invested in more than 300 portfolio companies.

Prior to founding Audax, Geoff was a General Partner and Managing Director of Bain Capital, Inc., which he helped to start in 1984.  While at Bain Capital, Geoff helped to initiate the firm’s buyout business, served as a director of more than 30 Bain Capital portfolio companies, and was an integral part of the firm’s growth and evolution.

Geoff also worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and as a commercial banker with J. P. Morgan and Co.

Geoff received his Juris Doctorate from the Stanford Law School, where he was a member of the Stanford Law Review and is a member of the State Bar of California.  He received an A.B. with Honors in Economics from Duke University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
