ACCME Awards Joslin CME Accreditation with Commendation
Joslin Diabetes Center was awarded a six-year reaccreditation and the status of "Accreditation with Commendation" by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the highest rating achievable by a provider of CME. Joslin was recognized for its exemplary performance in program planning, needs assessment, activity evaluation and evaluation of our overall educational program. Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Joslin Diabetes Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Joslin’s programs are noted for their academic rigor, professional production, and aggressive audience generation efforts. Supported largely through educational grants, programs include live symposia and courses, satellite teleconferences, and Web-based and multimedia educational activities.
Joslin develops educational programs for nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and others healthcare professionals. The acquisition of knowledge and skills needed to utilize diabetes treatments require repeated educational exposure to ensure that the necessary treatment changes are incorporated into daily practice. This education is important for all members of the diabetes team.
Educational Impact Assessment
Providing quality education is Joslin’s strength and priority. The ability to measure the effect that education has on the practices and processes of healthcare providers is an area in which Joslin has taken great strides. Through the implementation of the Educational Impact Assessment (EIA) tool, Joslin is able to quantify the effect an educational activity has in the real healthcare world. Contact us at (888) 567-5460 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on EIA or any of our activities.
