The first step of this campaign is access to Joslin-authored material through the CalorieKing nutrition toolbar. The innovative toolbar, which operates like a search engine browser tool but for foods, was previously available only to health plans and employers.
The toolbar is designed to promote daily food awareness in order to help those seeking to bridge the gap between weight loss and lifelong weight control. Food awareness is of particular importance in the prevention and effective management of diabetes.
