Patient self-management is the foundation of Joslin’s patient education.

Exportable Education Programs

We take a "Train the trainer" approach for our patient education programs and provide all materials necessary for your organization to implement Joslin’s classes:

• Just A Start for Diabetes^TM: a two-hour diabetes overview program designed to instruct and motivate patients on how to care for their diabetes. Appropriate for all adults with diabetes and their family members and support persons, it is especially effective for persons with type 2 diabetes.

• Steps To Success with Diabetes^TM: a ten-hour comprehensive program for adults with type 2 diabetes who are in fair or poor glycemic control, who are able to perform blood glucose self-monitoring, and who have a minimum of one-year’s experience with diabetes.

Online Training
