Joslin’s Guide to Managing Childhood Diabetes Is Released
Thursday, December 17, 2009
The Joslin pediatric team has just published a book on childhood diabetes, which was introduced last month at the High Hopes Gala.
Joslin’s Guide to Managing Childhood Diabetes: A Family Teamwork Approach was written by Lori Laffel, M.D., M.P.H., and the staff of Joslin’s Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Section. It provides strategies, tips and tools—all to help the child with diabetes achieve the mutual goals of maintaining normal growth and development, successful schooling, outstanding physical fitness, and just having fun being a child or teen. The book was developed with the support of the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids Foundation.
You can buy the Guide at the Joslin store.
