Dodging Diabetes
On Sunday March 9th, the annual Dodging for Diabetes charity dodge ball tournament took place in Laurel, Maryland. Over 32 teams gathered to play an exciting and competitive game of dodge ball while raising funds for Joslin Diabetes Center! This marked the 9th year that Anna Tiedeman Irwin and Elizabeth Kramer have been organizing the event.   We are especially grateful to Anna and Elizabeth for their longstanding partnership with Joslin Diabetes Center and to everyone that participated in the tournament! For more information on Dodging for Diabetes, click here. You can also contact Martha Andrews, Development Officer, Community Programs, at 617-309-2534 or Martha.andrews@joslin.harvard.edu
for information on how you can create your own community event just like Anna and Elizabeth.

Jacob Wirth Restaurant
In celebration of 25 years playing the piano at Jacob Wirth Restaurant, Mel Stiller took to the piano yet again to raise money for Joslin Diabetes Center in honor of his granddaughter who was recently diagnosed with juvenile diabetes.  Located in the Theatre District, Jacob Wirth Restaurant donated $15 to Joslin for every purchase of their German Tasting Menu on February 14th, 21st, and 28th.  For more information please visit, http://www.jacobwirth.com/.

CityFeast 2014
Thank you to everyone that attended the 9th Annual CityFeast celebration! It was a great night filled with good food and good company while raising awareness and funds for Joslin Diabetes Center! Supporters gathered at ten different restaurants in the North End, South End and Seaport districts for a five course meal with wine pairings. The proceeds are allocated to Joslin’s High Hopes Fund, ensuring our capacity to fulfill our mission to prevent, treat and cure diabetes. Mayor Thomas M. Menino was honored at the event for his long-standing support of CityFeast and for his dedication to health initiatives benefiting the Boston community.
