Keep The Giving Season Going Strong - All Year Long!

#GivingTuesday, held on November 27th 2012, was the first of its kind. A movement that began as a simple idea: to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrated and encouraged charitable activities by individuals, for-profit, and non-profit organizations.  It spread awareness, it raised money, it solicited volunteers, but most of all, it symbolized the kick off to the giving season; its 'opening day'. We at Joslin Diabetes Center believe in and support the mission of #GivingTuesday. Help us keep the giving season going strong all year long!

We are pleased to announce the support of our Anchor Sponsor, LifeScan Inc./Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Care Franchise. As our Anchor Sponsor for the #GivingTuesday campaign, LifeScan Inc./Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Care Franchise has donated $25,000 to the High Hopes Fund, a gift that launches this program for the coming year.

Diabetes is a pandemic sweeping the world, now afflicting nearly 26 million people in the United States alone and 366 million worldwide. Prevalence rates are expected to double by the year 2030.  At Joslin Diabetes Center we work relentlessly to improve the lives of all people with diabetes and provide the greatest hope for a cure. Only at Joslin, where world-class researchers, clinicians, and educators join forces in a multidisciplinary approach can progress have an impact each and every day.
