Vegetarian meal ideas

There are lots of cookbooks and web sites that can help you develop a satisfying vegetarian diet.  Here are some meal ideas to help get you started. Be sure to include a variety of foods in your eating plan.

Breakfast

  • Cold or hot cereal and skim/1% fat or soy/rice milk
  • Whole-grain toast
  • Bagels
  • English muffins
  • Pancakes and waffles
  • Fruit
  • Eggs and egg substitutes
  • Nonfat yogurt
  • Low fat cheeses
  • Peanut and nut butters
  • Tofu “cream cheese”

Lunch/Supper
