Diabetes at School

Parents of children with diabetes often need to educate school personnel about the care and services their children need in school and day care settings.

The Joslin's Pediatric staff offers some tips for a Classroom Presentation on Diabetes for Elementary School Age Children and information on In-School Blood Glucose Testing and Safety in Massachusetts.  You might want to also download the Diabetes Information for School Personnel form developed by the Joslin staff for our parents and families.

The American Diabetes Association (ADA), the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP)  provide a number of valuable educational and advocacy resources.
