Join one of our volunteer event planning committees

A lot of hard work goes into planning each of Joslin's special events and surely these occasions wouldn't be possible without the help of a talented and creative group of volunteers. Each year, committees work to plan both of Joslin's signature annual events, and sometimes committees also form to produce smaller events.

These groups typically begin to meet about six months before an event. After that, meetings are held once a month in Boston while members work behind the scenes in all aspects of event planning, including gathering auction items, planning the theme and decorations, publicizing the event and selling tickets. And the best part for most volunteers is the chance to attend the event and see all their hard work pay off! Just about everyone will be touched by diabetes in some way during their lifetime and this is a great way to support Joslin's multi-dimensional efforts against diabetes.

The High Hopes Gala committee begins meeting in the summer to plan a November event and the Evening at Pops committee commences in the winter to plan a May event.
