Speaker's Bureau

We are committed to improving the health of all children—particularly those with diabetes, prediabetes, or who are at risk for type 2 diabetes. To do this requires getting out in the community and sharing our expertise. Knowledge and information are powerful tools.

Our pediatric staff—endocrinologists, diabetes nurse educators, dietitians, exercise physiologists, mental health professionals and child life specialists—are available to speak at meetings of professional organizations and community groups in the Boston area.

Spreading the Word

We will tailor our presentation to the needs of the group. Topics we can address include:

  • It Takes a Village: Helping Families Live with Diabetes.
  • Obesity, Physical Activity and Nutrition in Schools.
  • How to Prevent and Recognize Type 2 Diabetes in Children and Teens.
  • Making Lifestyle Changes to Benefit the Whole Family.
  • New Technologies in Diabetes Care.
  • Pros and Cons of Insulin Pumps.
  • How Close Are We to a Cure?
