Support Groups and Special Events

Joslin Pediatrics each year holds its popular Teddy Bear Clinic, where kids with diabetes and their families can learn about living well with diabetes, including good dental hygiene.

One important way we can help you and your child is to bring you together with others who are adapting to a life with diabetes. Your child or teen may be the only one you know in your town who has diabetes, but we know thousands of children with diabetes.

Throughout the year, we also sponsor special events. Our annual Teddy Bear Clinic is a big hit, for example. Children with diabetes bring their teddy bear or doll and learn more about diabetes while having their bears examined.

Another yearly favorite is the Halloween party, where children can have just as much fun without a bagful of candy.
