Annual Teddy Bear Clinic

 

Each spring, our patients and their favorite stuffed animals are invited to the Teddy Bear Clinic. The bears and other stuffed animals explore healthcare experiences to learn about healthy habits and diabetes basics. This is an opportunity to go through all the different parts of a medical appointment that the patients might experience, from having their height and weight measured, to getting pretend blood work done. Children are also able to tour the Eye Clinic with their bears, learn more about exercise and nutrition, and play games and make crafts.
