Stefany Shaheen is an entrepreneur with a demonstrated ability in leading start-up organizations. She co-founded and is currently President of Good Measures, LLC, a Boston-based company that is revolutionizing the delivery of chronic care management. Good Measures combines the power of a state-of-the-art digital platform with highly personalized support from Registered Dietitians and other clinicians to help people feel better and stay healthy. The Company was awarded a suite of patents in the area of personalized nutrition analysis and recommendations by the U.S Patent Office in 2013. Shaheen is a named inventor.
Shaheen was inspired to launch Good Measures following her eldest daughter's diagnosis with Type I Diabetes and has dedicated herself to making life better for people living with diabetes. Elle & Coach: Diabetes, The Fight for My Daughter’s Life, & The Dog Who Changed Everything, is the New York Times bestseller that she authored about the experience of parenting a child with type one diabetes.
In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees for Joslin Diabetes Center, she was the National Chair of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Children’s Congress and served on the Foundation’s Research and Advocacy Committee.
Shaheen is a leader in the public sector at the local, state and national levels. Currently serving as a Police Commissioner, she also was elected to the Portsmouth New Hampshire City Council. Governor Lynch appointed her to serve as Chair of the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women where she transitioned the organization from an unfunded state agency to a vibrant non-profit by merging four related entities. She is also a key spokesperson for Jeanne Shaheen who became the first woman in American history to serve as both a Governor and U.S. Senator.
A graduate of MIT’s Sloan School of Management and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, Shaheen was also a student delegate to the International Academy of Achievement. She graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield University while competing as a Division I scholarship athlete. While attending Fairfield University, Shaheen was recommended for a Fulbright Scholarship.
Shaheen and her husband live in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with their four children.
