I have been principal investigator in several multicenter randomized controlled trials, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has granted me a Performance Award and honored me as a Research Champion.

I am also the director of the Joslin Institute for Technology Translation (JITT), where I spearhead the creation and implementation of cloud-based monitoring projects at the Joslin with the goal of using technology to improve diabetes care and promoting the positive effect that this improvement can have on patient/provider relationships.
