Matthew D’Errico Joins Joslin Diabetes Center As Vice President, Information Technology

BOSTON (November 21, 2016) – Joslin Diabetes Center today announced that Matthew D’Errico has joined its executive team as Vice President, Information Technology. In his new position, Mr. D’Errico oversees Joslin’s information services functions and serves as its Chief Information Security Officer.

Mr. D’Errico comes to Joslin Diabetes Center with more than 25 years of IT experience.  Prior to joining Joslin, he was the Director, Community Hospital IT for Lahey Health and the Director, Information Technology for Winchester Hospital, where he was responsible for strategy, project management and driving technology adoption while also managing operations and budget.

“Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to Joslin,” said Eliot Lurier, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Joslin.  “We look forward to working with him to align technology with Joslin’s priorities and to identify and address business opportunities and needs through technology.”

Mr. D’Errico received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Worcester State University and earned his MBA in Healthcare Management from Assumption College in Worcester. He also has achieved the CISSP certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
