Kidney Biopsy Research Study to create the Kidney Atlas

Description:

In the KPMP, scientists will study tissue from kidney biopsies to make a map of the kidney (called the Kidney Tissue Atlas). This map will show important cells, regions, and disease pathways that lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD) from hypertension and diabetes.

This study involves:

  • One kidney biopsy visit
  • One visit to collect biospecimens (blood, urine, etc.) and complete questionnaires
  • Once yearly on-site checkup visits for 10 years
  • Once yearly phone visits for 10 years

Parking or taxi will be reimbursed on the days of your study visits. In addition, you will receive a subject stipend for each of the visits.

This study is currently recruiting, and you may qualify to participate if you are:
