Dr. Nuha Ali El Sayed received her MD and MBBCh from Alexandria University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2001. She completed her internal medicine residency at Boston University’s Roger Williams Medical Center and a clinical and research fellowship in Diabetes and Obesity at Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School in 2007. She completed her clinical training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism as a Friedman Fellow at Tufts Medical Center and the Jean Mayer USDA center in 2009.

Dr. El Sayed completed a Master of Medical Sciences in Medical Education at Harvard Medical School in 2019. She holds certificates in clinical investigation from the Sackler School of Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University (2011), Leadership in Healthcare and Medical Education, Medical Education for Health Professions, Medical Education Technology and Systems Approach to Assessments in Health Professions from the Harvard Macy Institute, Harvard Medical School (2017-2018) She is also completing her Ph.D. in health professions education at the Mass General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

At Joslin, Dr. El Sayed sees patients at high risk to develop diabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes with a focus on lifestyle medicine, weight management, complications prevention and the use of technology in diabetes care. She oversees clinical training programs for medical students, residents and visitors.
