Susan Herzlinger-Botein, MD, sees patients in the adult clinic at Joslin Diabetes Center and performs clinical research. Her interests include exercise and diabetes, as well as weight management and eating disorders in diabetes.

The focus of Dr. Herzlinger's clinical research is incretin hormones, which can help to control type 2 diabetes in several ways. She finds glands more interesting than other organs, saying it is amazing to her that these hormones are secreted in such a tightly controlled way and govern so many of the body's functions.
