Dr. Bashoff is the Medical Director of the Diabetes Outpatient Intensive Treatment Program (DO IT) at Joslin Diabetes Center.

DO IT is a four-day program that gives people the chance to tune up their diabetes management. It is for people ages 18 and older with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes, and is appropriate for both the newly-diagnosed or those who have lived with diabetes for years.

DO IT provides a combination of individual attention and small-group education to help people get on--and stay on--the pathway to health. DO IT features Joslin's internationally renowned medical care and diabetes education. The program includes daily physician visits and small group and individual sessions with specialists including certified diabetes educators, nurses, dietitians, exercise physiologists and social workers.
